Basically, "communications broke down" during a planned flyover of several aircraft over NYC. This sort of thing has been done before, except this time it was "too hard" to notify the general populace about it.

Chaos ensued.

Um wow nice little pointless jab at Americans there. Air Force One's markings would look very similar to any commercial airliner's from the ground, and after 9/11 anyone is going to be panicky at a large plane flying low over Manhattan which is NEVER supposed to happen like that.

Especially with two F-16s that appear to be chasing it.

Not really their fault, evidently Obama admin didnt give *anyone* a heads up about this including our frigging mayor. He clearly typed "Obama admin" in that post. This does not necessarily mean Obama himself. In fact, I'm pretty positive that danzig doesn't think Obama himself would be the one who is supposed to inform a city that they're going to be flying jumbo jets and fighter aircraft at extremely low levels around buildings for photo ops.

It was Louis Caldera of the White House Military Office who approved this thing. He is indeed a member of the Obama Administration.

Um a) it isnt minor considering its NYC and the history of what has happened here and b) it actually IS Obama's admin's fault. So I ask in return are people like you so sensitive that even when it IS the admin's fault (as pointed out by others city officials shoulder blame on the notification but what Im questioning is why on earth would anyone in Washington think it was a good idea to begin with)you have to question why people are blaming his admin? Or is Obama special now that when his admin does something stupid he shoulders no blame?
