Game crashes whenever I siege a settlement

Hey guys. I have this idiotic problem, what probably will be my own stupid mistake, but whenever I attack a settlement (non-custom, campaign fight) my game crashes. I've already tried Miths way of playing a custom siege battle, but that doesn't work either. I have already tried 4 factions: Rohan, dwarves, Isengard and Rhun

. None of them worked. Can somebody please help me?

Stats of my Pc (Vista):
Quad Core Q6600 2.40Ghz
2 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT

Sorry for ruining 3 minutes of your time that you should be playing this wonderful mod

Same here.. same here.. just seems i ONLY crash in siege settlements i can fight fine out on the terrain (Non-siege)

Do you have Vista? If so, we know what is causing the problem. Otherwise maybe try to reinstall?

What the problem with vista? i have some crashes sometimes so if you know how to fux it it would be nice to tell it

KK maybe. Mith's knowledge about modding is limited to text files as far as I know.

Hi,

My game crashes as well when i siege a settlement,
os = vista.

The game works fine when i fight OUT the settlement.

If someone does know how to fix this please reply!.

so is there a way to fix this problem concerning vista? because i have the exact same problem in and out of the campaign and it is fustrating... sorry i just want to fight helms deep

and capture a reble city (i finally got this mod today after getting my medieval game back and i love it... espesially the Silvan elves!)

Maybe it has something to do with the following:

I can run the desctop icon with no problem. If however i try to "run as admin" a window pops up and tell me it cant find the kingdoms exe.

I run the game fine, but sometimes in or before a battle starts, my game crashes and tells me to lower my graphical settings ( i have all at max) If i reload the same battle, same settings, i can play it without probs..

Other thing. I have to eject and resinsert the kingdoms disc (orig) each time i want to start up the game. Otherwise a seccurom windows shows up and tells me to insert the original disc.

Any solutions for all this?

Same problem here....It crashes when I try to assault a settlement....

(I use windows xp too,if that helps)

EDIT: The exact message I get is 'Medieval 2:Total War encountered an unspecified error and will now exit.'
