Har har, I'm talking about like south of Harad and snuff. And I already know of the Gray Havens.
When people ask me "plz", it is short for "please". When I say no, it is short for "yes".
I will dominate the world and terminate all Humans on 12/12/12 if they do not sign my yearbook!
BUG!
Lothlorien should be where Amon Gastal is now, a couple of hills should be where Lothlorien is now....
But i can see that fixing it would be a pain in the ass(!)
I found a bug i believe none of you have mentioned yet;
Minas Morgul, East and West Osgiliath and Minas Tirith should all be lined up horizontally while at the moment they are way out of whack.
I have just realised that this has effected the rest of Mordor and therefor the whole of Mordor is out of line with Gondor; Mordor is far too low on the map.
Their are a few other bugs of course that others have mentioned but apart from these the map is absolutly brilliant and a real help!!!

Some months ago I found a Middle Earth Map that shocked me for its accuracy and dimensions.
It's an 8191 × 4968 pixels JPG, 7.9 MB.
Here's the link:

nice.
Also, that map must have took forever too make. your right about detail..

UPDATE:
I started with the new map yesterday. atm it is 337 screenshots in one huge document.
each screenshot is 866x375 in 17 colums and 22 rows. so the final map will be somewhere
around 10000x8000 pixels. it was not possible to make it bigger.
at first it was nearly 40000x17000 pixels but there my quadcore said just "no". each
screenshot originally was 2200 pixels wide but due to performance reason i had to
scale it down to about a third. but it is totally fine - i think it there is no need to see
the eye-color of a gondorian spy or the color of denethors knickers.
Yesterday i took all of the screenshots. first i retouched them and than i resized and
vignetted/feathered them and than placed them all in one big photoshop file.
Today i will compile them to one coherent map without visible edges. i think i will be
able to upload it this evening. there will be some different versions in size and content.

It looks great!!! Thank you so much.
I would just like to point out a few bugs i found in my initial quick scan over,
The western side of mordor (closest to Minas Tirith) along south Ithilien (around Emyn Arnen) is pushed back, it looks like there is a big hole in the mountain range.
And the whole Eastern (right-hand) side of the map is too far out, nothing should extend beyond the settlement of 'Should Not Be Seen.' The map must be stretched somewhere, Mordor definatly looks too deep.
But on the whole it looks great!!!![]()
+rep
(by the way my clarifications of saying 'right-hand side' etc are not there to suggest ur stupid or something but to make sure we are both talking about the same thing, better safe then sorry)
Erm, why are Minas Ithil, Minas Anor and Osgiliath on the same exact line? In my LOTR copy they are on the same line, but it's not parallel to the east-west line but something akin to 40-45 degrees upwards.
Then again, on another map in the same copy, it's some 5-10 degrees upwards.
Btw, nice to see Lond Daer on the map.Always loved that city.
//
Thanks brandybarrel and Seeker. And to the bugs - i know the proportions are not
totally like on the in-game map. The reason for that is, that the view on the strat
map is not from above but from an angled 3D perspective view with a vanishing
point in the middle back - thank god there is no horizon - so you don't have a
rectangle 90° screenshot but more a trapeze. so i had to decide which side of the
map is cut out to compensate thsi contortion - and because of the fact that on the
right side are less important places i chose that one to expand for compensation reasons.
That was the compromise i had to made. And this is also the reason for mordor not
being exactly like on the real campaign map. (lsame thing for all big coherent things
like the Misty Mountains, the Gondorian Coast, Mirkwood ...)
But thanks anyway.

ok i have had another closer look now and found some more bugs.
-To approx. the north-west of Khand there is another hole in the mordor mountain range
-Mattaram to the south-east of Mistrand doesnt have a town-name
-Some paths through the mirkwood are missing, in particular the one to the west of Dol Guldur
-Cerin Amroth, Caras Galadhon and Moria should all be closer to in line, Moria is too low at the moment, or vice-versa
-The orc emcampment in Mordor to the east of Barad Dur doesnt have a town model, just a name
-Khand should be further to the north-east
-Araw (south of Dale) only has half a city model
-To the north-east of Araw there is a town with only half a model and no name
As i use ur brilliant map more i'll point out any bugs as i find them![]()
