Petulance will rarely get you anywhere except ignored. Unless you bottom lip is quivering and you are an attractive women. If not I don’t know why I am helping……..

However if you want help you might want to be more specific about what issues you have. Are you happy using Lt Chambers pack manager and just need the usual location for the game files?

If so VISTA location for the data directory is almost the same (depending on whether you have VISTA 64 or 32 bit version. You won’t need to worry about placing the script file if you use mod manager. And if you are amending the .esf files you need to ensure your user id roaming application roaming area is visible. BUT you won’t need to messing in there if you are just trying to muck around with unit stats for example. This file area is only if you want to change start positions or the number of turns per year. And there are mod tools that do this too!

Happy to help further if you provide a little more information on what your issues are.

Well cheers for helping i just got a little frustrated after spending 2 hours searching for the files.
im basicly trying to find C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\The Creative Assembly\Empire\scripts
and im using a 32 bit operating system.
    hope that's enough information.

The file is in the same location, but it's hidden by Vista. Either enable your hidden files (do a Google search to learn how), or use this:

    %appdata%\The Creative Assembly\Empire\scripts

Type that into the search bar and hit enter. For conveniance I keep a notepad file with that saved on my desktop so I can copy/paste any time I need to mess with the script. Alternatively you could use the Mod Manager tool on this website and not have to mess with the script at all.

You don't need the script location if you use mod manager. mod manager also looks for conflicts in the files in it's current build so has another use too. However Gilthanor said you need to unhide the app data area if you do want to place the script fie yourself. Modmanager effectively places the script file and amends it as you add and subtract mods.

    Good luck with modding.
