    Default missing units?

    hello,

    awesome mod finally!
    anyway i have one question please.
    i m unable to find how to recruit thoses units : iron guard, dragonslayer, for dwarves. uruk hai pikemen, berserkers for isengard and heavy archers/elder archers for elves.
    how to? i cannot find thoses ones in building descriptions so i dunno how or which city to conquer in order to build them.

    I think that you need certain settlements to recruit all of the units. For example, you need minas tirith to recruit citadel guards. (the specific settleents are in the unit descriptions.) I hope that helps.

    I'm guessing the Dragon slayers are AOR to erid mithrin and any Uruk-hai units should be recruitable in Isengard.

    I believe most faction specific units are AOR i believe so your best faction units are recruited in your early territories (correct me if im wrong)

    for dragon slayers you need the gray mountains, and iron guard is probably moria
    it should tell you on the unit description if you look at them in a custom battle which places you need

    i don't know about the other units

    Could someone let me know if Isengards bomb made it in. I had heard they had some trouble with it.

    I'm familiar with modding so lemme see:
    - Iron Guard: you need a militia barracks or armoury in the region and at least a culture percentage of 60% Dwarves.
    - Dragonslayers: you need at least a city watch or greater. They can only be recruited in the Grey Mountains or Withered Heath region.
    - Berserkers: at least a militia barracks or armoury is required and you need a culture percentage of 60% or greater (of Isengard's culture, which is follower of Melkor if I'm right)
    - Uruk-hai Pikemen: Barracks, Armoury, Militia Barracks or Militia Drill Square and a culture percentage of 40% and greater
    - Eldar Archers: Archery Range or Marksman Range and a culture percentage of 60% Elves.

    edit: Strangely enough, the militia barracks building is not listed in the building browser of Erebor. I changed the files and gave myself a militia barracks building at the start of the game and I can confirm that Iron Guards were recruitable (Erebor starts with 60% culture). However, upgrading your city watch in Erebor to a militia barracks is not possible from the start. I don't know... there is an event counter linked to the upgrading of a barracks beyond city watch but I haven't found yet what it means.
    edit 2: Ah, I've found a certain historic event that unlocks the advanced barracks buildings (it will say: "New barracks are unlocked which allow the recruitment of advanced units."). So, basically you have to wait until that event happens. Then you can build your militia barracks. I don't know yet what triggers this event.
    edit 3: Found it! You have to wait till turn 48-56. Then the event will happen. For the most advanced barracks you'll have to wait till turn 96-104.

    Does anybody know how I can get trolls as mordor? The troll cage is not available at any of my cities or castles. Are they only available later in the campaign or at very higher city/castle levels? Or am I just blind, stupid, all of the above?

    I have the same problem as well. Also no uruks are available.....

    Hrm, it seems that Gondor is chronically unable to recruit its elite units as well..Swan Knights seem to require Dol Amroth to be a castle, which is impossible as its already a minor city at the start of the game. And I haven't been able to make Minas Tirith able to recruit Citadel Guards or Fountain Guards. I did get the Axemen of Lossarnach though. Hrmmmm. I'll report this as a bug as well, I suppose. Any thoughts?

    same with me, i even tried cheats for citadel guards, but they didnt work.

    trolls dont show up in the city recruitment, but i was able to get them by cheats (only mountain trolls though)

    They aren't missing, you get the ability to build new structures and then new units every 50 turns AFAIK
