Default Tea Party guys: remember them?

Apparently the Tea Party extremist wingnuts didn't go far enough with signs threatening violence, revolution, racism, etc on tea party days, and had to take their whining to the intarweb!

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/0..._n_191527.html

Luckily, one of the wingnuts was arrested for his crazed threatening of violence and murder on a large scale.

Hopefully this idiot will be an example to the rest of the right wing fanatics who thought they could spout hate mongering and incite violence and get away with it.

So, people are getting arrested because of what they're saying on Twitter? That's kinda depressing.

When they're calling for mass murder for political reasons, which is TERRORISM, then YES, the law actually applies.

It's hilarious to hear the double standard so many have: if its an Al Qaeda website promoting violence and hatred, well then of course they should be shut down and arrested.

But if its a tea party website? Apparently not.

Drop the double standard. Inciting politically motivated violence is inciting terrorism. This is what Hitler and his chums did. There's a good reason it's against the law.

Funny, I though it was only the left wing nuts and extremists who were dangerous and called out for peoples untimely deaths. I can't believe Fox lied to me.

On a more serious note, please let this tea party nonsense fade away into the forgotten realms of history already.

Where was racism or threats of violence ever brought up? It never was. Who is the extremist here? Those that follow the constitution, or those that must resort to massive propaganda?

This guy is just an internet loonie. Now they are going to arrest everyone that threatens to kill cops anonimously on the interwebs?
"Romans not only easily conquered those who fought by cutting, but mocked them too. For the cut, even delivered with force, frequently does not kill, when the vital parts are protected by equipment and bone. On the contrary, a point brought to bear is fatal at two inches; for it is necessary that whatever vital parts it penetrates, it is immersed. Next, when a cut is delivered, the right arm and flank are exposed. However, the point is delivered with the cover of the body and wounds the enemy before he sees it."

Well if someone said something nutty on the interweb then obviously thats how to characterize all the people involved.

Actually the double standard here is the original poster in generalizing all the protesters as being "wingnuts" or threatening violence but such nonsense is expected.

I'm going to echo what others have been saying here, and note that the rantings of a few whack jobs in no way constitute the opinion of everyone involved with a movement. That is unless your partisan enough to generalize a massive group of people based on a precedent set forward by a few.

That would imply a standing stereotype of those who hold a certain viewpoint that happens to differ with yours. That's a natural expression of outgroup homogeneity, but as rational beings it becomes us to move past such petty generalizations, and strive to understand and respect others opinions, even if you do not agree with them.

    Take it easy,
