Gold Edition Hotseat

I bought the Gold Edition of M2TW and absolutely love the Hotseat version. However, I can't get it to work on the Grand Campaign, only in the expansions. Whenever I open the campaign, the multiplayer options do not include hotseat, yet the manual distinctly says it is playable in both Grand Campaign and Kingdoms.

Any ideas why?

Cheers for the link. But I can't seem to find my medieval2.preferences file anywhere - nor the installation folder in fact. Any clues as to where I can?

I found ONE thing called pref but it was read-only and didn't allow me access to change it.

try the medieval.cfg

u go to the

[hotseat] part

and put in above it

[multiplayer]
playable = true
