change character names?

Hey, how would I go about changing the assigned Romani names so that there are more surnames used besides Romanvs and I can see them? I.e. how do I change the naming system for the Romani back to vanilla? I know I add names to the descr_names but how do I get the game to actually use these names instead of this weird naming system?

If I'm not mistaken, the EB naming system for the Romani uses traits somewhere, so you'd probably have to mod EDCT (which is a very big file) as well. Probably there are several other files you'd have to mod too, so it'd take a lot of work probably.
