I've been playing this mod for awhile, and it was really stable, until recently. Now, it's crashing for no reason at all, all the time. Yes, I have deleted the quotes files, but I did that ages ago and the problems have started recently. It offers no explanation of the problem, and happens whenever I capture a settlement, try to do a battle myself or just for no reason at all.
Please help me!

It's a case of the evil twin rearing its head. This happens when a character that is not married in the strat_descr.txt file.

The AI adopts him, but in doing so creates a copy of him. When the character dies, or is killed the game fatally crashes.

It has been fixed for IJV3.0.

Yeah, I have the same problem. Can't wait till 3.0 ( because until then, I can't play this wonderful mod)


One thing though: would this problem affect the custom battles? Because whenever I start those, it crashes as well.

It should not. It might be something else. Explain the circumstance of crashes. When, how, etc.

Well, I'll get to the main menu fine, and select custom cattle. I'll get to that screen, select the units I want, and press the start battle button. It immediately crashes after that. This also happens when I try to load a campaign, and when I start a new campaign, I can't play field battles, because the second I press the button, the game crashes.

Every time, or sometimes?
If the latter, when/how often?

I can tell you that in custom battles it is not the evil twin problem.
You might be a victim of the sprites crashes, that plagued me, but that does not happen every time, more like 40% of battles.
- Did you delete the quotes files?
- Tried a reinstall? (And installed correctly/clean/etc.)
