Battle controls switching

Hello,

It's not too much of a problem, but it's happening more and more frequently. My controls seem to be changing during battle. I cannot speed up battles by pressing 'Ctrl+T' and I cannot make units run by pressing the 'r' button, among other things. If I quit the game and restart the original controls are there, but sometime during the game it will do this. I am not doing anything with the controls (i.e. changing them from Total War style to the other style).

Anyone else have this problem? As I said, it's fairly minor but it doesn't help when you speed up time to march across the map, then have your army walk into the enemy's because your usual buttons don't work.

Have you got a wireless keyboard?

No actually, I don't. Just a regular keyboard.

What are your computer specs? Vista or XP?

It's Windows XP. Other specs include (but may not be relevant) 1GB RAM, Intel Dual Core processor, 256 MB video card (what it is I cannot remember and do not have access to it at this time). This was when I was playing the mod DarthAges. Can mods change the game's controls? Though I don't think this mod (or any) changes the controls, as far as I know.

Can mods change battle keys? I don't know because I haven't found them yet in the .cfg file.

Your system is low end and if you're pushing unit size and details and other eyecandy you could be doing it to yourself. Other games I have had over the years, when it would get to memory allocation, hotkeys would be one of first things to run out of memory and that sounds like what's happeneing to you.
