    Default Obama and Change

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/politico/21522

I'm quite impressed (and that's no secret) by Obama's actions. While many here don't agree with his policies, I do, although I'm not an USA citizen (so I won't have to pay the taxes for his programs that would help end the global economic crisis).

So far I'm impressed with him because:
    - He gave money to the uneployed and those that need it, instead of giving only to the companies
    - He approached Europe with a far friendlier tone than Bush or even Clinton
    - He took interesting steps towards solving the USA problems with the South America nations and Cuba

And I agree with you that he is a great politician (although politicians are by there nature not very how do I say this? Uncorrupt?) perhaps he will change this stereotype?

Oh yes, because Bush's strength has translated well into American fortunes.

I'm not a Socialist, but I would like to ask you:

What you find wrong in Socialism? It's more about giving the same chances to the poor kid as to the rich kid and making sure the company owner respects the worker and doesn't squize him dry in order to earn a 1% more profit.

Its more why do people not making the effort to improve their lives, have any right to what I produce?

Further as simply giving it away doesn't foster change, it rewards sloth and creates a permanent underclass. In some ways its quite patronizing, its assuming that some people just can't survive on their own.

Because it is intuitively obvious that the Poor are poor because they're a bunch of lazy proles, unaccustomed to the rigours of the stockmarket, and definately not poor as a result of the incestuous, self interested bastards at the top of the ladder.

I mean, Jesus, it's my ill-gotten gains, screw the mangey peasants who actually made that money for me!

I agree that it kinda-rewards sloth and creates an underclass.
    As I said I'm not a socialist.
But I don't think that a socialist leader or goverment every once a while is a bad thing. IMO it should be some years of strict economy and the some years of socialist-leaning goverment to give something back to the people.

    Yes because we're all socialist.

    ... like Sweden.

I have approximate answers and possible beliefs, and different degrees of certainty about different things, but I’m not absolutely sure of anything, and many things I don’t know anything about. But I don’t have to know an answer. I don’t feel frightened by not knowing.

Yeah Obama is real great, just like bush, reward corrupt, failing companies with billions of fiat garbage.

He is further destroying an already weakened dollar.

a successfull politician talks and a failed one calls for the army.
i find it impressive that he breakes down boundaries that have been made by the usa. he talks with those nobody wanted to talk before. chavez, cuba, middle east, even is up for talking to the taliban. he takes america a step ahead even though many dont see it or are worried about it. because of that i think he is a good man even though i hate the obama hype.

u sure can keep your guns, you gave up a bit of your freedom already with the last president and you can keep your money. you cant keep the value of your money though, just the paper. hyperinflation will hit us all in europe and the states as well.

i am not sure if its necessary but i hate how companies are bailed out but the simple men who will lose his wealth to hyperinflation will not be bailed out, he even is forced to help the companies and even banks that are responsible. if i invest all my money and money i dont have in a stock and lose it all - who bails me out? thats so ing wrong.

somebody in germany said s th that brings it to the point i just dont know how to say it proper in english:

profit is privatized and losses are nationalized/sozialized

profits go into the hands of few and losses are shared between those who do not directly benefit from corporate profits
