    Default Lack of M2TW RPGs

Currently we have 0 running M2TW RPG games, this is a frightful shame. Some have come and gone but none have stayed.

Taking this thread, the Byzantines are the most popular faction. To save valuable time this faction will be chosen and we will lead the Byzantines to their fate. I'm looking for the old-heads to jump in and help me get this sarted and everyone else to take a look and hopefully join.

What we would need to have (bare minimum):

    • FAQ thread
    • Some forum of government/senate thread
    • battlefield thread (write ups of battles fought)
    • save thread
    • questions/ ooc thread
I will gladly allow suggestions/ questions of any nature what so ever and encourage everyone to say what they think of this idea.

You will get more success posting that in the AAR/Community games forum. I'm sure they'll be able to work something out.

Adverts need to be at the heart of the community, posts have been made in the AAR section but drastic measures must be taken. Now, let us hear your thought on such an RPG?

I think this would be a good time to resurrect "Kingmaker".

Kingmaker is currently located here. IBN is currently working on the rules of the game, making them less complicated. Not sure if he is still active, I will nudge him and find out for you.

Are you planning on running this with the vanille M2TW or a mod? I would advice you to start asking around who would want to join this RPG. I think it will be quite easy to get a forum for this RPG. However i would like to ask you to consider starting one if only 2 people would join.

I would say vanilla, I don't know, it does not appear to be very popular anyway. I can't see the masses forming a line to participate. It has occurred to me that RPGs are a very niche audience and it would probably be a good idea to recruit from existing RPG players.

Your idea of an RPG multiplayer sounds interesting, but I don't know exactly what you mean. When I play single player I am "role playing" in my mind, but I don't limit myself to historical accuracy. For example, in my current game I am playing a Venetian ruler who has broken away from the Catholic church and declared war on the Pope. I actually killed Pope Gregory II in battle and I am preparing to sack Rome. From there I will probably deal with the Byzantiums, since Constantinople is a victory condition.

Are you talking about starting a game that recreates history? So that players would have to intentionally lose battles that their nation historically lost?

    Acturus, thanks for replying.

Baically what I mean by an RPG is a campaign where many people participate at the same time, discuss the best options for attack in a thread to replicate a form of senate, take the save game following an easy download and from there control a character to victory or humiliation. Ask more questions if you are unsure of how it works.

Here is the current sub forum for these types of games and member creativity:
