Very nice, guys. Ponti, you could try to put the cut out apple on a transparent background (simply go to File -> New and delete the white background layer) but aside from that it's perfectly fine.

Yeah, you're gonna have to give me a play by play on that one Asty.

I decided to have another go and managed to figure out how to remove the background easily with the colour to alpha function.

    Original:

My work (and now avatar): Cropped the image too.

Alternatively, you can simply copy-paste your selected object onto any image you want to (such as the original one) and delete all other layers.
Here you go, Ponti. Astaroth had to explain it to me as well.

    Good job, ClimhazarD. Nice result.

Thanks, Theodotos. It's great when students help each other out.

Anyway guys, lesson 2 is ready! Check it out here. I'll leave lesson 1 open for a bit longer so others have the chance to still do it if they wish.

You're somewhat late but I guess I can accept that entry anyway.

Try your luck with the next lesson.

Anyway, this first lesson will be closed 24 hours from now so if anyone is still interested in taking it he should do so shortly.
