Being a space topic, i though this would be the most appropriate forum to post in.

So...looking at teh stream of bubbles in the training pool, and looking at the little thing that comes off in the start of the video....id say we're lacking a correlation to start with.

The "bubbles" are not the only thing that seem fishy (no pun intended)...what explains the weird lighting reflection off the astronaut's arm?

If that is video of the actual space walk then Id say yeah something is extremely fake about it especially when one looks at US and Russian ones. Guess gonna look to see if that was real video china broadcasted.

Did the conspiracy nuts use a Chinese training simulation and attempt to pass it off as the Chinese actual footage? Is there another video source of the claimed mission to compare with. To tell the truth, at this pont I would be more concerned of the source claiming fake than of the Chinese claims that the walk occured.

Actually, the most recent Chinese space mission was verified by both the ESA and US observers. (The one prior had some interesting authenticity debate that was also debunked at the end)

... but I guess you'd know better.

I wouldn't put it past the Chinese to pre-record a space-walk in a training tank before actually carrying out the mission. The CCP goes to great lengths to protect its image domestically (and abroad to a lesser degree). It would be more suprising to me that they wouldn't have a back-up plan to cover up an failed mission. I am not yet convinced, however, that they would plan to hoax the whole thing from the beginning.

well they faked a little girl with bad teeth in front of the whole world. After that, tossing a guy in scuba gear into a pool doesn't seem so crazy.

True enough.

Problem was it shows they don't know the rest of the world very well. Mrs. Perfect was cute and all, but the other girl was cute too and having normal childhood teeth would be the 'awww' type of cute.

I recall seeing a video where a village works frantically to save a child who was buried somehow, they didn't want to release the video of it because the ambulance was so old looking. If anything showed the power and strength of the Chinese people it was a video like that but they were worried we would only see an out of date ambulance.

To be fair, there are quite a bit of people in China...more workers = lower wages

Was the same in the US too for a long time...

Chinese people could hardly care if you guys think their space walk is fake or not. If anything, it only makes them more pissed off at you guys and become more nationalist.
