    Jon had taken Donal and Benjen’s advice to heart: Sam may be fat and pathetic, but he is still a member of the watch, and one of the few black brothers who isn't a rapist or thief. (out of context, this sounds ridiculously racist)

    Wow... I didn't know they ever did that... it's a rarity in any games I play. Someone said that they turned the rebel spawn waaaaay up to 9999 so there were hardly any rebels, and the AI sent ships over with armies almost every turn. (He guessed it was because the AI spent a lot of time and money on fighting rebel armies)

    Huh? I have naval transports all over the place

    Scotland <-> Denmark (or Norway if mod)
    Milan --> Corsica
    Milan --> Sardinia
    Moors --> Sardinia
    Sicily --> Tunis
    Venice --> (forgot name, somewhere near Tripoli?)
    Portugal --> East coast of Africa
    Spain/Portugal --> Caernarvon/Dublin (I know... silly bums)



    Although England nor France ever invade one or another...
    E:TW's natives have developed a new "Ballistic Automatic Detection And Seeking System" to utterly annihilate any European that sets foot on their soil... That's BADASS for short!

    Sometimes it even gets extremely annoying. I had a campaign as Milan. Moors kept sending their fleets with armies to Genoa all the time. And I mean ALL the time. They nearly made me to give up on that campaign.

    Are these invasions normal then in Medieval II? Because i've never seen one in Medieval II or in Rome. Although I edited the file in Rometw that factions like Carthage and Britannia can preform naval invasions, they never preform one..

    Well, I do play modified game- but even before changing the campaign AI this was normal for my games. Rome not so much as I recall.

    go to programfiles/sega/med2/data/world/maps/camapign/imperialcampaign

    then find descr_strat, open it and change this:

    Code:
    brigand_spawn_value 20
    pirate_spawn_value 28
    The higher the values the less frequent rebels appear. I set mine to 9999 and never see a rebel army or pirate ship. Of course rebellions still appear but not spawning rebels.

    this really isnt news... Ive had factions invading me with naval landings quite frequently... if I play england (which i havent in some time) it was 2 or 3 times a game.. In fact in the last england game i ever played portugal took ireland and caernevon and then proceed to march on london... so i dont think this is huge news

    This needs to be moved to Rome forum, since the codes were about samnites, romani, syracusae, and poeni, which are Rome location/factions/cultures, not for Medieval II. And since Medieval II is well established for naval invasions. As for Rome, I remember reading some where that with BI, Rome mods will do naval invasions.

    And who drank a Delacourt '27 when received the commandership of me?

    This is a Medieval 2 topic, I'm just using custom faction names from my mod.

    I'm not using this topic to 'break' some unknown news, but rather simply to cheer the fact that these invasions happen, so that even the AI log emphasizes the naval invasion decisions.
