    Yes nice guide .

Here is a site I think could help you when making your guide for the expansion, it has all the units, their status and related buildings (including some mods - just click the faction link to the version of the game you want and start choosing):

    http://totalwar.honga.net/versions.php?encode=en

Thanks it might come in handy but I used the data files they tell you everything.

P.S. There were a few things that bothered me though.

Page 6: "This is escialy efvftioce asgint two handed units"

Page 53: "Heavy cavalry are heavily armoured cavalry that are not knights" This one bothered me the most. Actually they were knights. Very few men could afford to equip themselves with heavy armour, and knights were usually the main heavy cavalry. No matter if they are generals bodyuard or Famiglia ducale or whatever. They definitely were knights.

Thank you I'm glad you like it and yeah i think it has a clean interesting look, like my RTW guide did.

Yes I'm fixing the typos I'm proof reading it ill upload the next version when its done. Ive already fixed that awful typo you mentioned

Not all heavy cavalry are knights some are squires, some are just professional heavy cavalry and some are just high ranking nobles. Not all heavy cavalry were knights, knights are born into knighthood and must be of noble birth. Heavy cavalry can be anyone, which is why knights have their own section.

    Umm.. if you say so.
I guess what I was talking about was more releated to early middle ages.

Ok hope that helps anyway, its always great to have a good guide .

I was thinking about something that I noticed is missing from the guide: the effects of weather on battle. Of course if there are no effects it would not be missing from the guide. It is a curiosity I have, assuming there are any effects at all (more precisely the effect of rain on fire and gunpowder) aside from the bonus we know units have from fighting in snow, desert, jungles and such. Does the rain in the game reduces the effectiveness of fire arrows or naffatum granades? What about putting out fires (in siege towers for example)? Does it affects the gunpowder units?

    Hello all,

Aside from a few typos, I only found one significant ommission/error. As far as axemen go, the Danes have; Dismounted Huscarls, Viking Raiders, (they also have 2 handed, fairly expensive, "elite" axemen who carry no shields) and the Norse Axemen. The name of the 2 handed unit escapes me, but is mislabled as "Norse Axemen" in the guide.

The actual Norse Axemen stats are missing from the guide, and these fellows do in fact carry shields.

I'd be curious to know the stats of these Axemen. Given their price, I'd expect them to be very like the Norse Swordsmen with an AP bonus.

    Good work Forlorn, thanks!

I just finshed a HRE short campaign and decided to look through your guide. I did not see the Teutonic Knights (cavalry) unit from the Guild. This was the only heavy cavalry that I recruited during my 70 turn short campaign.

Are you planning to include the guild units later?

Yes I will but off the top of my head I don't know which comes come where. any help in this matter will be appreciated and credited. I'm playing a Moorish campaign now to make sure I get all the mercs. I've almost finished correcting all the typos and formatting errors and changing alot of minor wording countless little things so the next version will just be a corrected version with more mercs then ill start on kingdoms.

Glad to see peopel ae interested in one

A good starting point is from the totalwar.org site: Daveybaby's Guide to Guilds

As for more specific information, other than playing the game (sorry, I know that is obvious ) I would suggest Honga's great site:
    http://totalwar.honga.net/unit.php?v...utonic_Knights

I could do a copy type write up for you, but the creadit would need to really go to these sources.

I go to Honga before every campaign just to look at Honga's cards for inspiration.

I hope this gets you started.

Wow thats great ill use that list and provide a link to the site in the creditsa nd credit to you and Honga

My pc suffered a busted graphics card so I haven't been able to write anything for the last 5 or so days and I think the autoreovered version of the guide as I was working on it when it died has lost a few fixes so the corrected version of the guide will be out today sometime, them ill start on kingdoms.
