North and South Korea talks fail

The first official talks between North and South Korean officials have ended without progress.
The North says the South Korean military moved a marker on the heavily armed border dozens of metres to the north, calling the move a "serious military provocation'' and a "vicious criminal act".

The North's official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said the country warned it would "take a measure for self-defence and the South Korean warmongers will be held entirely accountable for all the ensuing consequences" unless the
marker is returned to its original place.

North Korean officials also announced during the brief talks that they would not release a detained South Korean worker. He was arrested last month for allegedly denouncing the country's political system.

Oh NOEZ! The South Koreans moved a marker 12 meters! North Korea needs to calm down. It's clear the relations between the 2 Koreas continue to deteriorate. This is not a good sign.

Would be cool to see the US step out of South Korea, maybe then we´d see some progress there. As long as the south is perceived as a puppet of the west (that it is), there won´t be any changes.

Looks like the South is winning with this new strategem, very very very slowly.

The drama-queen N.Koreans will continue this BS for as long as they are allowed to. They should be put in place and reminded of the half-starved tyrannical

hole they actually are. Why, if they didn't have nukes I'd... *shakes fist*

Why do you think the South is slowly winning? I still see it as a stalemate.

Can't you read? They moved a post metres to the north. In a couple of thousand years they'll be in Pyongyang.

North Korea is looking to wage war. Not sure why, I don't think they could even afford a war. But they're being hypersensitive to any provocations and they're displaying an attitude even more aggressive than usual.

What is up?

I do not know what is up. Perhaps the senior leadership want to drum up support for themselves by being hawkish with the impending death of Kim Jong Il. I really hop they're not dumb enough to start a war. The suffering on both sides of the DMZ would be immense.
