    Default Zionite spears-uneditable

    I'm a big fan of editing code for fun. I've already changed (and changed back) legio Vexilonies or whatever they are to do testudo. It worked perfectly. I Tried to give Zionite spears phalanx. Did not work. So I tried to give them shieldwall. I Know they have no shields, but it worked for golden band in vanilla so I assumed it would work here too. Nope. Why not? Also, why do the Kidarites speak like germanic barbarians? They should speak like asians, you know, jackie chan style. Please help me (begs).

    edit: I tried giving phalanx to auxilia cohors and auxilia palatina. It works, but looks bad as they throw javelins, pull a sarisa out of nowhere and are in a looser formation than they should be. Don't know why.

    Phalanx for Auxilia Cohors? Interesting. I believe that the way to solve the loose formation problem lies in changing the unit density, but as I'm no modder I have not the slightest idea what file contains that. Try the Export_Descr_Unit.

    lol, I like my signature as well. I tried to fit in the whole thing but it wouldn't fit! Anyway, I'll try the unit density, but the main problem is the sarisas appearing out of nowhere. And those Zionite spears are annoying. Is there a way for phalanxes to have a spear other than the sarisa? Who knows. I fought a battle against the picts, but it was so glichy i gave up. It seems phalanxes really aren't suited to non-hoplite units.

    Hmmm...Hoplites in ExRm and other RTR branch-off mods use a short_pike attribute which seems to give them a smaller phalanx. Also, refer to Iphikratean phalangites in Diadochi Total War.

    After some more tests, it turns out that, after they run out of missiles, the units switch from thier regular weapons to sarisas. It may be the fact that they have a missile weapon that causes the problems.
