Default If you're proud and you know it...

I just won as the Romans! This is the fourth time I ever won a Rome game in any mod or vanilla without cheating. i also managed to convert the populace to paganisim as well, thus claiming a moral victory as fulfilling all of Julian's goals. The settings were run all settlements, E/E.
Anyone who wants to brag, put a post here! Managed to win as the Kidarites? If so, you get a medal! made of paper. No cheats either!
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
What have the Romans ever done for us?? apart from better sanitation and medicine and education and irrigation and public health and roads and a freshwater system and baths and public order... what have the Romans done for us?
    Some of my favourite quotes:
"Your god has yet to prove himself more merciful than his predecessors" ~ Hypatia, as represented in the film 'Agora'
"If you choose to do nothing, they will continue to do this again and again, until there is no-one left in the city, no people for this governement to govern"
~ Hypatia, as represented in the film 'Agora'

Well done. What campaign were you playing with? Now that you have achieved success on E/E may I suggest you try again on H/H.

    Cheers

Please, I won playing the Romans, (not the v3.0 beta, the earlier mod before the beta). I conquered the Sassanids, all the Germanic tribes and almost reached India and I was playing VH/VH. Was it easy? Hell no! I lost many battles and some really good generals but I pushed on. I, after Julian died of natural causes, made the empire Christian only because it had very good stats and helped decrease the populations. Try VH/VH, it will keep you busy.

Curse you and your flaunting of the beta!

Good job, my friend. But Easy battle difficulty gives you +stats... No good.

Try it on H/H like Julianus Heraclius suggested.

    Game of the Fates
Mod of the week on hold -- I've played nearly every RTW mod out there.
BOYCOTT THE USE OF SMILEYS! (Okay, just once)
Antiochos VII...last true scion of the Seleucid dynasty...rest in peace, son of Hellas.
I've returned--please forgive my long absence.

It was the main campaign. Tonight, I'll start of H/H, and see how I go. I might even do an AAR (If you're really unlucky)

    *flaunts beta like an a.h*

    jk

well, I don't think JH should be tied to a release date-Independant modders have no set release date, just like independent movies. Bruce campbell said so, so that must be true

I'm also almost done with my lakhmid campaign in the 3.0 alpha. just need to capture a couple of persian cities, but RL keeps me from finishing

Oh don't worry you have a chance to test out the new BETA very soon (don't tell anybody but I plan to upload it next week), so you'll be able to test out all 3 campaigns.

Man, this is the interenet. By now, about half a dozen fans all over the world are smsing all thier friends and organizing celebratory toga parties. Me included.
Yeah, really exciting. Happy! Disjointed. Sentances. Showing. Happyness.
    Hooray!!
Anyway, who thinks I should do an AAR?

Jh is obviously proud of his mod, and so he should be. Anyone else won a hard campaign?

My sympathies. Anyway, has anyone won as the kidarites yet? On any difficulty level? I think they are the hardest faction to play. I haven't even been able to use the spears (Which I can't give phalanx) yet in the campaign.

My computer stuffs up sometimes so I want my campaign to be over quickly. That's why the kidarites annoy me. I don't know what I'm aiming for as I can't find out thier fate in real life, and the campaign goes for too long!

I didn't really finish any of them, I think.
My average campaign lasts 30 turns.
Well, a lot of restarts for modding reasons factor in.

I usually never finish my campaigns, either. My most recent problem was the evil twin. Not to worry, fixed for v3.
