I'm not seeing anything. If they are fixing it please CA PLEASE also fix the issues where attacking armies ALWAYS appear with the city they are attacking behind them and the defending army in front of them.

I never bought the Kingdoms expansion. What's the difference in M2 and Kingdom's reinforcement methods?

You were able to control your reinforcements. You get to tell them whether to defend, attack with sword or attack only with missiles and direct their general movement. However, you never had FULL control of them.

I actually really enjoyed this as it made you feel as if the reinforcement army was still under control of its General\captain, but you are basically `signalling` what you wanted to happen to your forces. Quite intelligent really.

It really is worth getting the MTW Kingdoms add on imho, it does add a lot, although not to the default campaign (use Bossdave`s Mod for that). The only part of it I did not like were the silly flamethrower units which I modded out of my games forever.

This is one reason why I cannot understand this backward mode reversals in Empires which makes every other TW superior than the present game.

Actually the ancient flamethrower was used in many capacities and aren't silly at all.

The most famous ancient flamethrowers were operating with the famous 'liquid fire' at the ages of Byzantium but we have a lot of indications that this knowledge was much older. There were many different sizes of flamethrowers in the Byzantium. A single soldier could use some of them easy and other flamethrowers were used by a team working with pumps and tubes. The knowledge of the 'liquid fire' was kept so tight secret that finely it has been lost.
On the temple of Pergamus there were some glyphs showing Ekati and Foivi holding a weapon like a long tube with fire in the front side and firing against a Giant. Something like a modern bazookas! These sculptures are now in the archaeologicical museum of Berlin.
We met again another device with almost the same operation at 1600 in the Arabian peninsula. It was made by two parallel tubes and a pump. The lower tube had the flammable liquid and the upper was throwing it with a spring system through a flame in the front side. This could reach distance of 10 meters and could hit for almost 10 times.

Could be wrong but I would fix the first armies deployment and not the reinforcements.

You know I have never thought about that. Read my post above. The first armies deployment mix up is one of my biggest gripes. This could definately be why the enemy reinforcements appear behind you. I created a new thread for this theory with all credit to you of course. http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=252481

It'll only be interesting if CA re-introduces the reinforcement system from M2TW: Kingdoms...
