    Default [Solution] Researching Tech as an Emergent Faction

    As some emergent factions start without schools and in some cases like mexico it can take time to get a region with a school I found a way to enable the building of schools using the esf editor

    just look for a settlement (even if it's underdeveloped) for example let's take the settlemente of El paso in the region of new mexico

    for this example go to CAMPAIGN_STARTPOS / CAMPAIGN_ENV / CAMPAIGN_MODEL / WORLD / REGION_MANAGER / REGIONS_ARRAY / (look for the region you want to edit in this case new_mexico) / REGION_SLOT_MANAGER / REGION_SLOT_ARRAY / ( now choose the region slot you want to edit it should be a town type or port , and make the following changes )



    that should enable the town (or port) for building a school ( or whatever you like )
    remember to BACKUP your startpos.esf always

    Have you tested this because i have always got towns to emerge using a similar method
    This is how a town looks when it has not emerged yet:

    This is what i have to do to get the towns to emerge:

    2 i have got this to work using 1 or 2
    True

    4294967295
    3 This value determines in what order the towns emerge
    True
    False

    Now i have never been able to get the ports to emerge using this method just the towns.
