    Default Tradeships help!

    I'm playing as UP and control alot of the trade spots in East India, Africa both sides of Afrika and Brazil.
    I'm very early in the campain, so right now I'm just having Indiamens on the spots.
    But i can see that I can build the Fluits, but how much more cash do they make me, than the Indiaman?
    Is the Fluit just a stronger ship so it can defend itself?

    Morning My Good Man,

    I'm not an expert on trade ships but there is an excellent thread on Fluits which really sings their praises - have a look for it in the forum, it is quite recent & I think will answer all of your questions. As I understand, Fluits are pretty amazing & are a unique strength of the UP so use 'em I say.

    As far as I know, the Fluyts don't bring in more money. They're just stronger ships. Early in the game they can defend themselves quite good against warship-fleets. Later on, they can't make a stand anymore and just drain more upkeep.
