Hi mate will have a look when I get home tonight. Have had error messages before but got rid of them through trial and error. You might have to open file in some other way than pack manager to unwind the change which caused the problem. Look at hex editing alternatives to Lt Chambers excellent work.

I know it doesn't help but I always save consectative files to make sure I only go back one stage when I do something odd.

Anyway will look later and good luck!

Top man!! it looks like i need to unpack file and then repack with some program, i was thinking where i went wrong i saved a .tga file over a mask.tga for a unit icon i modeed and thats when this error started?? as stated earlier all other files open fine and it is not a problem with PFM!
I did notice that Mod Manager is now still picking up the mod in the previous script text file and i have deleted out of the user script file the mod in question. will try and delete out of the previous script file tonite as well, it is so bloody annoying as this is such a simple error! why is the PFM unstable on such a basic error?

If i do not sort this out my missus is definatley going to divorce me!!! as she will not put up with another three weeks of not seeing me!!

D/l and use that. You'll be able to see your problem with it. Just unpack everything and using the PFM, create a new mod and repack everything. Don't forget to replace what got "corrupted".

Put the pack here, and I'll give you a fixed version.

Thanks mate, i had to redo file last night as no one got back to me. i managed to open the file in question and all but two DB files had been lost!! not sure where within the file you could have retrieved them?

Can you show me anyways on how to avoid this error again in the future, as i am sure this will happen again?? lesson learned in respect to make backups of files?

Just in case you forgot, you can't open the main.pack with the Pack File Manager when ETW is up and running.

It sounds like a bug where the same filepath got saved twice instead of one overwriting the other. I don't know what would cause that, but it can probably be fixed easily enough.
