The problem with custom battles in RS is that the prices are unbalanced.. Like Roman legions for 200 gold. But it would be sweet nonetheless.

How would we decide who takes which faction?

Or we could leave it up to the player. I was also thinking, if a playre cannot play the match, or has to quit before the end, THEY must contact the other player to say why, and to arrange an alternative time.

Well, this sounds like a really good idea. The way I would arrange it would be like this:

[Player]

Just like that. I think what would be cool about it would be to make each Tournament based on some period of warfare. For instance, let's say we do the first tournament, and we decided to do it on some Punic War. We would arrange it like:

[Player]
[Player]
[Player]

And so on. Then:

[Rome]
[Player]
[Player]
[Player]

Of course, not just three players...

Then, the players would duke it out on maps that are set by the Tournament coordinators (I suppose army selections could be limited, if we decided to do an ultra-realistic Tournament [such as player 1's army being based out of Africa, so only African militia and limited levy troops would be available]) and the replays would be sent to one or more of the event coordinators and, at the end of the Tournament (or even during the Tournament, after each battle) a mini-aar could be made, describing the events of the battle and adding a bit to the story.


Then, we'd also obviously have the choice of simply making a free-for-all tournament with anything goes and a simple bracket system set up.

Either way, I think it's a great idea.

That sounds good. I've never used Hamachi except for Lan, so all I would have to do is connect to you and I should see your game in multiplayer, correct?
