Well I'm testing RS II now with P4 2.8 and GeForce 6200 oc card with 3g of ram. I am having difficulty ( meaning lag ) playing above 'Normal' unit sizes. Plus some changes the team is making will most likely warrant stepping up your computer, depending on how you like to play .

Welcome to the forum. Do you know which model of Nvidia graphics card you are using?

If in doubt look at the dxdiag display under the display tab.

I have NIVIDIA GEFORCE MX440 with AGP8<NIVIDIA compatible and a 2.66Mhz INTELL 4 PROCESSOR, I know this is slow, but I can't right now upgrade anything. I usually have to bump up my virtual memory paging file to play RS 1.5C.
The 1.5c version is 297.57MB Installation. Also will RS2 be that much more MBs per full installation?
It would be fantastic if the RS2 team could get CREATIVE ASSEMBLY to make a new version of ROME TOTAL WAR using this new version.

    THANXS again!

Well, with that card you are lucky to be playing an oldish game: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GeForce_4_Series But, it's good to hear that you can still play RS1.5 with this system (honestly).

There may be a slight decrease in frame rate with RS2.0 - there is a variety of systems being used.

I think it's too early to state how large RS2.0 will be when it's finally released. The current beta is running at 556Mb...

Edited: The size may vary depending upon how much more is added to the game before it's released and how efficient the packing of the installer will be.

I think most people on the TWC forums genuinely attempt to help out people with their problems - after all we all started in a similar position at some stage.

It's good to be appreciated (it's not always the case).

I saw some dramatical changes when I upgraded my amount of ram from 1 gig to 4 gig so you might consider doing that. Ram isn't that expensive so you should be able to buy some.

I would say what ever computer system the mod team uses would be at least the minimum you would need to run RS2.

There is a wide variety of specifications of computers being used during beta test (by various beta testers as well as the developers).
