    Default Empty Regions

    What happens with the empty regions like the ones between Texas and New Mexico. I am playing as Spain, in the 1760's and there are a few empty regions in between them, with no buildings or villages. Can one eventually acquire these areas and will any towns grow in them, or are they destined by code to remain empty during the entire game?

    As far as I know they remain empty. I'm sure once the modding tools are released that will change though.

    Nothing happens. They are just empty. Once the Modding tools are out or someone figures out how the provinces are set up (whichever comes first) they will be more than populated! LOL
