Movies that might be worth looking forward to.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

I put this movie above one coming out sooner, for one reason. Sam Raimi. I wasn't fond of the Spiderman movies, however I am a huge, huge, huge fan of the Evil Dead Trilogy. (I even have a repress of the original movie poster.) And for that, this movies gets placed on the top of my list. Sam Raimi + Horror = Me at the theater. Comes out May 29th in the USA. It already has some good reviews, I am hoping the votes are from the South by Southwest Film Festival, which was the premiere of this movie, 15th of March. So I have some good feelings about this movie.

It doesn't look all that scary to me, tbh. But like you said everyone is loving it, so I'll have to check it out too.

I have never seen a scary horror movie. Horror is a misnomer. But that is what they are called.

Plenty of shocking jumpers in Drag Me to Hell. Executed flawlessly with slow camera pans and eerie music. Raimi is good with that, and he mixes up how they happen and the signs that they are going to happen, so it isn't predictable.

A proper good horror movie needs to really just be creepy as all get out. This movie succeeded as far as I am concerned. The characters were all pretty interesting. And they were developed properly. Rare in a horror movie!

Just watched the movie. Absolutely amazing! Sam Raimi has returned to horror with a very Evil Dead 1/2 feel!

Sadly no appearance of Bruce Campbell. I did have a sneaking suspicion that he played the voice of a tea cup.

We went with my friend Dan. He literally jumps and spasms and plays the drums and laughs to himself to calm himself down.

And there was no creepy-child-with-greasy-black-hair in the movie. There was an old lady. The Mac commercial dude and a demon. No kid with greasy black hair.

I don't like the creepy-child-with-greasy-black-hair horror that has been saturating the genre of late, but again I might watch this one.

Yes you do. Especially if you liked the Evil Dead movies. This was classic. None of that made for teenager horror movie slasher crap. Wes Craven and his ilk can burn in hell. Sam Raimi knows what he is doing.

Excellent! The camera work is excellence. EXCELLENCE SIR! The premise is great. The story well written. Most horror movies are better for their comedic bad scripts and bad acting. This movie was stellar as well. There was CGI, but it wasn't invasive. And it was generally creepy.

The last good horror movie I saw was Emily Rose. I hope this one is good.

Emily Rose is consider a horror movie now ??
Man the genre has really gone downhill if that movie is now all of the sudden horror.

Anyway, heard nothing but good things from this movie and hopefully will see it soon.

I for one do not want to see it at all...as soon as I saw the commercial I was like...."No..too anticlimactic..."

Though the cgi looks exceptional...I just can't help but think that I am not gonna be scared by this movie...aaaaahhhh the horror films *honestly i don't know why they still proceed to suggest that they are indeed of this genre* these days are disappointing to say the least.

and if anyone has failed to take notice....for the past couple of years...the only genres to gather adequate and/ or outstanding ratings are romance, family films *disney etc* and spoofs and/or comedies...no really good horror flicks...*sighs*

    Glad you liked it!

It was a most excellent addition to the horror genre that is generally filled with terrible made for teenager movies.

A commercial is not enough to base most movies off of.

It is a horror movie. I can say that actually having seen the movie.

And Drag Me To Hell has a 7.9 on imdb and a 93% on Rotten Tomatoes. Making $35,214,475 in the box office. I would say that it got good ratings.
