Kingdoms gold edition: Battles and patch not working.

I have some problems with my medieval 2 total war kingdoms gold edition game. I can't play any battles and I can't install patch 1.5. It just says: setup.exe isn't working anymore. I have installed in the past a modswitch and made a mymod folder, but I allready deleted these two. I have allready reinstalled the game 3 times. Please help me. My computer is good enough, because I already have played kingdoms on highest detail for one year. Could someone help me and post the files that must be in the medieval folder and the text of medieval2.preference. If anyone has any other good idea, please post it. TATW is coming!!

You have problems installing the 1.5 patch because you need a clean install of Kingdoms and all campaigns. If the installer finds anything not original, it will quit installing and no error message. If you don't get the right Gold edition language pack, you will get the same results. If there isn't a 1.5 update for your Gold language pack, contact Sega support.

I have just an English version, so I think it is the European one. But that doesn't work.

Edit: I have got the patch working after numberous times of trying. I have no ideo, why it suddenly worked.
Now I will check, if there may be a change that the battlefield problem is also solved.
