    Icon5 USA in Campaign?

    I'm sorry if this question has been asked many times before, but as I am new to the Road to Independence part of the game, I was wondering if you beat the RTI, will you unlock the US for the campaign? Thank you again, I tried searching the forums for this topic but had no luck.

    Thanks!

    No it does not unlock the US or thirteen colonies and there is not a working mod at the moment that will allow you to play as either in the GC without crashing the game or severely limiting functionality.

    beat chapter 3, and it will unlock ch. 4 - which you can play as the U.S. in the GC starting in 1783.

    Episode 4 of the RTI campaign is the GC for the USA. It starts 83 years after the orginial GC campaign start date.

    It is also a joke. you cannot set the difficulty for this campaign and in no way even comes close to representing what the US went through to establish itself as a nation. It is not a Grand Campaign, it is a Grand Tutorial.

    Plus the computers turns seem to get extremely slow after 1800 so it becomes unfun. Also everyone else if FAR ahead of you in technology.

    I remember in my GB campaign the cherokee conquered the Carolinas from the 13 colonies faction and in 2 turns the United States emerged as seperate faction on the grand campaign map. I still didn't even complete my mission yet by seizing New France, Georgia and Cherokee T so the 13 Colonies join you, but still it looks strange seeing the Thirteen Colonies as a faction next to USA as a faction too.

    Still abit odd though you start as the US in 1783 and have to get the more prestige and those lands by 1810, which isn't long at all

    As others have posted America is available as the last episode from the RTI menu.

    Britain loses the thirteen colonies but gains two in India;

    I just beat the final chapter of RTI (i.e. the mini-grand-campaign for USA) and got a real kick out of it. By the time I made it to 1810 I had completely kicked Great Britain out of the Americas. I was using Gibraltar as a naval staging ground to not only end of long legacy of trade raiding against me, but to turn this tactic around on them! I have a total of 20 trade partners. It would have been 22, but Austria and Sweden can't seem to defend their trade ports.

    I may go back and continue beyond my victory point. I have a powerful fleet en route to India, loaded with veteran, and dare I say, pissed off American soldiers who would love nothing more than to capture Britain's holdings there, and put them to more respectable uses. But I've instead decided to take another crack at playing Great Britain herself (lost my intial GB campaign to a CTD).

    Thank you guys for the info, I've played the Total War series since Rome Total War but I'm still trying to figure out Empire.
