    Default Global Depression?

This is very interesting and new to me, but I think every faction just had a depression in their economy. Im playing Casse and the year is 212BC. All of a sudden, my cities are starting to lose money and then they start to lose a lot of money and Im thinking whats going on? I cut my costs and destroy buildings I dont need to stay afloat and at 23,000 minai, im the richest factions and I was like whaaaaaat? Then I checked, and only the rich factions like egypt, rome, and saudi arabian factions all had their finances just plummet.

You think the developers implemented this into the game for a certain time period to be like a global recession in the factions economies?

There isn't anything planned at that time. Maybe the Romans artificially proped up the housing market?

Have you had the script running at all times?
It may just be the case that the AI all settled in to where they wanted things and started to waste money. After about thre to four hundred turns, the AI tends to go stale.

oops I just realized only those factions, I'm sorry i meant all the factions have expierienced a global depression and bottomed up. And I dont know about that theory, Egypt kept rolling and rolling, they are a ridiculous power house.

Its not scripted, so the AI factions are recruiting themselves into the floor... And you must be too.

Just like the Cold War arms race!

My money is on the AI, who get their debts practically paid off each turn. >_>

Maybe the partially-congealed fish guts bubble finally burst in Greece.

The Seleucids must be bailing out the boiled sheep's head market in Babylon!
Do you play Morrowind? Do you like old castles, ferocious hairy beasts, expansive wintry forests, and killing dark elves?

Then check out Skyrim: Home of the Nords! A mod for TES III: Morrowind.

History really does repeat itself LOL
Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone can see it but only YOU can feel the warmth.
WE have no limit. Saying so is just a pathetic excuse of giving up!

Maybe the AI decided to build a navy and built 5 ships or something like that in the same turn. Those ships are REALLY expensive, 6000 mnai to build and more 2000 as upkeep .

About your cities starting to lose money, maybe some AI city which you had trade rights with rebelled or was captured by another faction. Maybe you built too much buildings which weren't good for money or you recruited too much soldiers and the upkeep hurt your income.
