Turkey's Flag is already in the game. It's the Ottoman Republic Flag.

Which uniforms are you planning on incorporating, Aykis? Might I suggest a semi-partnership with Remo? His complete retexturing of the Ottomans is fantastic, and he's currently working on an overhaul of the Prussians. Also, waronmars' Spaniards can't be beat at the moment, and Boicote has a great reimaging of the Portuguese (that I'm hoping he'll release as a stand alone mod).

Oh and by the way, are there any factions in particular which you'd like me to aim at for more battalion flag ideas? I thought the Savoyard ones I found were pretty nice, but I didn't think to check the current in-game flag to see if it needed improvement first, lol.

Lol Kippy. I've contacted Waronmars and Remo about joining the Regalia team. Remo's response was that he didn't have time at the moment but we were free to use his skins as long as credit is given. Because of that I'm planning on releasing the full Ottoman Retexture in the next update. As for Waronmars he has not responded yet but that might be due to the fact that his last account activity was on April 20th and I sent him an invite on April 21st. So I still need to hear back from him.

I probably will ask Boicote as well, thanks for the suggestion. His work with Portugal and those new factions look great.

As for Battalion Flags, I could really use some help finding Dutch Battalion Flags for a Republic. Clear ones too, not the little war games ones, because those are almost impossible to use unless your a graphic artist yourself. I haven't seemed to be able to find anything good for them yet.

Alright, I'll be on the lookout for republican Dutch flags. I apologize for the tiny pictures I've been providing lately... I'm actually not searching for wargames flags in particular, but they tend to come up in my searches because there isn't a huge following for eighteenth century military history except for in reenactment and hobby clubs. Of course, the best option would be actual literature, but I can't get my hands on any of that until this weekend (and even then there's no guarentee it'll be anything applicable). I'll continue linking to any wargames flags just to get a visual, but I know they're quite useless as is lol. If the pictures were just zoomed in more...

A Good source I use is kronoskaf.com on the Seven Years War. Unfortunately he doesn't have Dutch Flags up yet. Or I haven't found them.

I haven't had a look at the Hanover battalion flags, but I came across this searching for Dutch ones and I quite like it:

Just in case you needed one for Hanover.

That's from a wargaming site (again ), but at least its big and detailed. These ones aren't so great, but they are Dutch, and perhaps they can confirm something you've seen in your own research:
    http://www.warflag.com/flags/wss/wssholland.shtml

    EDIT:

    http://www.leagueofaugsburg.com/figh...opic.php?t=517

This source says you're safe using the Dutch national flag as the battalion flag for land battles.. however, perhaps we could overlay it with some sort of national symbol to differentiate it a bit. I'm still searching for an actual image of a regimental color though...

Good Info on the Dutch, perhaps we can find some symbol. As for Hanover, thats the flag in the game. I used the right hand side with the Horse. I really wish there could be two different sides and unfortunately thats not possible.

Also, Ruzenqures has made some really cool Musket Sound Effects that I've been lucky enough to listen too. He's working on Music as well. We're lucky to have him. Does anyone know of a sight where I can upload these sounds for you guys to hear? Other than Youtube? Like a YouTube for Audio?

Perhaps the coat of arms of Amsterdam?

This is given as the coat of arms of the Dutch Republic (1581-1795)

That won't work cause its a Republic. And the Crown looks like Royalty.

I edited the above post with a coat attributed to the Dutch Republic.. it has a crown too though.

    Imperial Crown
The Imperial Crown of Austria that tops the shield in the coat of arms of Amsterdam

During the Hook and Cod wars in Holland in the 15th century, the Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian I supported the bourgeoisie in the cities (Cod) in their fight against the nobility in the countryside (Hook). During these wars Amsterdam loaned large amounts of money to Maximilian I. In 1489, the emperor gave Amsterdam the right to use his personal imperial crown in its coat of arms, out of gratitude for these loans. When his successor Rudolf II created a new personal crown, Amsterdam changed the crown accordingly. Even after the Reformation, the Protestant Amsterdam continued to use the crown of the Catholic emperor.[1] In 1804, the crown of Rudolf II became the Imperial Crown of Austria. In the coat of arms of Amsterdam, the Imperial Crown is positioned on top of the escutcheon.

The Imperial Crown can be found independently at several locations in Amsterdam. The tower of the Protestant church Westerkerk is crowned with the Imperial Crown and the bridge Blauwbrug is decorated with several Imperial Crowns.[1]
    Wikipedia

It appears the crown isn't a royal symbol after all... its more of a "look at how powerful we are, we funded an emperor's wars" thing.

What I think I'm going to do is make the Dutch Republican Battle Flag the current Dutch Monarchy Flag, and add an Orange Dutch Lion in the middle, without the crown or anything. Then I'll change the Faction Flag for a Dutch Monarchy to what I currently have as the Dutch Monarchy Battle Flag and make a new Dutch Monarchy Battle Flag, for which I have a picture for:

Do you think you could find some Dutch Royal Flags because the one in the game is merely a common variation of the Republic one. The only one I've found looks something like this:

So far in my searches it seems we might have to get a bit creative. When the Dutch revolted from the Spanish, the leader (the Prince of Orange) used his banner (which was the usual Dutch flag, but with a much paler orange color than we've seen so far). I guess it seems reasonable that if a monarchist movement took the throne, a member of the House of Orange would be given the crown, so perhaps this flag would be suitable as a base. So I guess here's my suggestion for the time being:
    This flag for Monarchy:

Charged with some version of the coat of arms of the House of Orange:

This is the arms of Orange-Nassau; I think what we want is something more specified to the upper left image of the gold lion on blue. Perhaps the emblem in the center of the royal standard in your post above?

Then, as boring as it is, I think the republican flag would either be the same flag with the royal arms removed, or with the orange color of the top stripe darkened.

Perhaps this as the arms on the royal flag? It might be past our time-frame, I'm not sure:

Love the phrase on there, "je maintiendrai", "I will maintain". Very fitting of an absolute monarchy.

I found a Dutch Royal Flag with that seal on it. Looks like this:

And a clearer version of the more modern Dutch Royal Flag that I posted earlier:

Aykis, that's exactly what I was picturing for the Dutch Monarchy flag. So right now you'll be using the ordinary Dutch flag for republic, and the current monarchy flag (the 6-stripe) as the republican battalion flag; and then for the monarchy you'll use the above flag, and the monarchy battalion flag will be the orange "aan koning" flag from earlier? Is that correct?

Little question: are all (non-emergent) factions playable, or do we still have to change something in our files to make them all playable ?
