The game is peer to peer meaning that you are trying to connect to an individual, many things can happen when connections like these are trying to be made. Your best bet is to firstly open ports related to steam for your router and if that doesnt work there are other methods such as a publicly assigned ip address and so on...

Welcome to the forum and to the group of people that can't get into MP very often or at all.

I've managed to get into a couple of set up games and decided I wanted to leave (at that time the PC that I was using had a tendency to lock up solid due to overheating CPUs). Subsequently, I've fought one on-line battle and was soundly beaten. I joined another game that had 'German Server' as the name. I was asked if I was German and I replied I was Australian. Wrong answer and I was bumped by the host.....

I have yet to get to specate at a game.

On my other machine (two GTX280s in SLI) I had applied the 'insufficient memory' fix and the result was that most of the games were not compatable. With my current (old) PC I am using a 9800GX2 and have not applied the fix - only a few games are incompatible.

I don't know if some of the details in this thread could be of use (I think some of it may be relevant): http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=230971
