    Default Types of Government

Hi. Iv'e played Empire TW the last days for hours. But now I have a question. I am playing as Britain (I like the Redcoas) and conquered much of America and India. It's lots of fun, but there is one thing making me mad: The Parliament. I have this YES, I AM THE EVIL EMPIRE DOMINATING THE WORLD, BEWARE OF MY MIGHTY LEGIONS AND GIANT VESSELS - feeling. And the Democracy is annoying me. I read in the manual, and it only says only Revolutions can change the type of government, but I can trigger them on my own. So, how can I initiate or provoke a (absolutistic) revolution?

You would have make the upper classes revolt to form a constitutional monachry and then make them revolt and again to form an absolute monachry

You provoke that kind of revolution by making the upper class revolt,
just tax them heavily and leave your capital defenceless.

I'm not sure how you get to an Absolute monarchy from a Constitutional Monarchy...Maybe if you make the nobility mad again?

There are 3 different Revolutions that I've experienced:

Lower class revolutions go like this: Absolute Monarchy > Republic

Upper Class Revolutions Go Like this: Republic > Constitutional Monarchy > Absolute Monarchy?

Basically, remove military from your capital. exempt every other regions from taxes. and turn taxation to the highest possible for the class you want to revolt. If that doesn't do it, then burn the buildings that please the class you want to get to revolt, and build the ones that make them mad.

You'll know it's working when you get this: Turn 1) Strike(or letter of demands?) 2) Riot 3) Revolt

Side with the revolutionaries and take the capital.

You're Britain, so do the following:

-Take all troops away from London, make it completely empty.
-Put taxes for the nobility in the European theatre to max
-If the nobility arn't showing red, try destroying buildings that give a happiness bonus or a repression bonus or anything that increases order, until they show red.
-After one turn, they'll send a letter of demands. The next turn I believe they send it again. The third turn in the red, they'll start a revolution.
-I'd advise exempting other European regions from taxes otherwise they'll likely rebel to. At the very least, exempt them for one turn, otherwise you'll have rebellions everywhere on the same turn.

Also helps to save up your money for a few turns before you try this, then exempt all your other provinces from taxes, so none of them revolt.

tell me how it turns out, doesn't make much sense in the real world but in the ETW anything can happen
No heroes, no villains, only conflicting perspectives with regards to a specific object.

It really wouldn't mke sense. In a constitutionel monarchy the nobility has the possibility to gain power (ex. in Brit: House of Lords), in a Abs Mon the King has the whole power.
Edit: It worked. But I saved before and tried it many times, but the new monarch is always Victoria I, is it always that way, or is it a random choice ?
