Crashes + Patch

Hey,

I installed the game, with patch 1.2 then I tried to install patch 1.3 but then it says "C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II total war\packs\Data\data_0.pack is missing or is invalid" so what can I do about it?

Also when I try to start it up without patch 1.3 it crashes I have kingdoms with the patch installed that one works fine only when I try to do a battle on the battlefield it crashes with the same message as when i try to start the normal Medieval II total war up.

If you have Kingdoms installed correctly, 1.3 is installed correctly. You need 1.3 installed to install Kingdoms so if you're trying to install 1.3 now, the reason for the error message.

To get rid of the error messages, you need to totally uninstall Kingdoms and Medieval2 in that order, delete all Sega folders, run a registry cleaner, reboot, install Medieval2, install Kingdoms and all campaigns, and try it, again. Any other order will make you a bad day.

Do I have to install patches before I install Kingdoms then??

No. Kingdoms disc has the patches on it. After installing Medieval2, put in the Kingdoms disc, hit enter at the prompts along the way and you're ready to go.
