The title says it all. Press "End Turn", look at spinning pocket watch cursor ... for ever.

I managed to endure a number of turns that ranged from 30mins to 1hr, and have reached 1789, but now it has got to the point where I'd rather use my computer for work.

If anyone knows why this is happening or how to fix it, I would be most grateful.

Specs:

AMD Athlon 64 3200+
2 Gig DDR2 RAM
nVidia 9600GT 512M

Battles play flawlessly on med/high settings.
