For all of you (however numerous you may be xD) who enjoy this type of music as much as I do. Your favourite DJ's, your favourite albums, your favourite tracks. Share em!

For me, my favourite DJ's are gonna have to be Ferry Corsten, Armin van Buuren and the English/Finnish trio Above & Beyond. Particularly the Oceanlab project with Justine Suissa from the latter trio is just amazingly well made and can keep me entertained for hours, just listening.

    My all time favourite tracks:

Ferry Corsten, Fire (Goatus Flashover remix):

Above & Beyond Pres. Oceanlab - Sirens of the Sea:

    Above & Beyond - Hope:

Especially the second and third songs can cause me to dream away and forget my surroundings. I've been into trance music for about a year or two now and I honestly can't think of any sort of sound that mesmerizes me like trance does. Best music genre, ever.
I have approximate answers and possible beliefs, and different degrees of certainty about different things, but I’m not absolutely sure of anything, and many things I don’t know anything about. But I don’t have to know an answer. I don’t feel frightened by not knowing.

I'll listen to them later, in a bit of a rush now. All I really know is Shpongle, and they're amazing.

And The Future Sound of London's 'Papau New Guinea' is great too.

What do you do while listening to this?

While I was in college usually we would be driving a car 90 mph while drunk and high looking for a taco bell at 2 in the morning. Those were fun, scary, times.

Mostly listen to trance while commuting. Got a crapload of it on my MP3 player. It's also great music to listen to while relaxing in the sun, or background music in the evening when working on things.

Thus, communism, in particular, is a dogmatic abstraction; in which connection, however, I am not thinking of some imaginary and possible communism, but actually existing communism as taught by Cabet, Dézamy, Weitling, etc. This communism is itself only a special expression of the humanistic principle, an expression which is still infected by its antithesis – the private system. Hence the abolition of private property and communism are by no means identical, and it is not accidental but inevitable that communism has seen other socialist doctrines – such as those of Fourier, Proudhon, etc. – arising to confront it because it is itself only a special, one-sided realisation of the socialist principle."

Never heard of em? Link some.

@ God: I don't think Sphongle really counts as trance. Sure, there's something relaxing about it but that doesn't make it trance

Don't like to use the noob word, but thats sortof why trance is called trance.

Try listening to some 90-94 stuff. It's all very relaxing.

Personally love psy/goa stuff, but that's pretty much as different a genre to trance as techno is, if not more so.

Future sound of london are (melodic) techno btw.

Psy/goa is usually a lot more entrancing than the hands in the air stuff (with the exception of full on crap). but yeh, shpongle are generally considered psy crossed with ambient, hence the lower tempo etc.

Infected mushroom are also psy (obviously). While this thread is totally derailed anyway I may as well post some of my favourite psy/goa trance videos:

    Goa stuff

    Standard psy stuff:

    Dark psy

OH SHPONGLE.....they have a song, something like "tea something around world". That is an awesome song...and it uses some lyrics from a very old Turkish classical music piece.

Yeah those are his two best tracks IMO. Gotta love them.

There's another two favourites of mine:
