Default Need your advice. Pergamian Campaign.

    Hi guys,
First of all, I didn't want to post this in 'Post your empire' cause I wouldn't get the information I want.
So, as the title says, I'm playing a Pergamian campaign but I don't really know what to do. This is the (map)situation.

You can see I have a quite good defendable (is this a word lol?.). But where I need to know where is should expand next? Or should I wait and build up everything? Please help.

    Thanks,

I would make sure you have a solid economy, then invade Greece, taking out the Greek Cities before moving onto macedonia.

You shouldnt have so much units to defend citys, just get like 4 stacks and invade Seleucia before they come to strong. And build your economy on the dead body's of your conquered citys. Thats what I always do.

I would agree with this, although do keep an eye on the Seleucids

This what I would do but only after you have built a system of forts along your Eastern border. That must be impregnable if you are to concentrate on Greece and the West.

A word of advice: the Seleucids will become monstruous if you let them alone for too long...

depends on the amount of stacks your economy can support, but i think you schould do an assault on the entire shoreline of ptolemaic empire. deploy your armies in boats each near a coastal city of them and take al their coastal cities in one turn, they'll then be too cripled to defend their 4(i think) inland cities.

As others have posted - reduce your garrisons for your established settlements. Use the units to form armies. I tend to always leave one of these in reserve as a 'just in case'. Make sure that you train your governors up so the settlements will run better.

If your funds are limited have a 'holding' war to your East. I'd suggest trying to own both sides of the Aegean - the money from trade will give your economy a decent boost.

What are the Armenians doing? I'd attempt to ally with them as they are a natural ally against the Seleucids.

Thing is, they are actually ally with Seleucids - Neutral to me. I hope it stays this way, but I think they'll start a war soon. Or I could ceasefire with the Seleucids, Ally with Armenia, attack Seleucia and hope Armenia stays with me.

Anywhat, at the moment the Seleucids are focusing on me and I'm capable of holding them off. I'm building a huge invasion force - 6 stacks - to attack Greece and Macedonia. I'm holding Larissa at the moment so I made a border between Greece and Macedonia. First thing I'll do is take Greece, while I hold the Macedonians off in Larissa, and, since I'm allies with the Getae (who are under siege of Macedonia, we could form a double front: Me in the south, Getae in the north. I've sent money to them to build up armies and such.
Then I'll build armies in Greece and take some - not all - Macedonian cities (The coastal regions to the east, so i have both sides of the Aegean - as Brusilov suggested. With my economy boost I'll then focus on Seleucia and Armenia (who will probably will start war soon, as mentioned above)

I'll keep info up to date.

Oh and, Parthia got destroyed by Seleucia. No good sign.

Hmm...if you aren't at war with Macedon, then to be honest, I'd worry about the Seleucids first.

Cuz you know the moment you turn your back on them they will find 4 stacks and start ravaging your borders...and i wouldn't trust those Armenians as far as I could throw an Indian war elephant!

On the other hand...if your economy is stable enough to fight on two fronts, (which from your treasury it seems to be) then go for it! Just gotta watch out for the native hoplites of southern greece. I think the best thing for you to do though would be to maybe beat back the seleucdids from your immediate borders and give them to a trusted ally to create a buffer zone and let them deal with it.

Only one option as far as Im concerned: beat the crap out of all situated towards the east, take Cyprus and build a big ass navy to defend your Agaeis shores and block the Seleucid and Ptolemaic docs.

Or take Greece, Crim, or Egypt. Makes less sense though as they are unlikely going to mess with you allot.
