What do you think they willl call it? I know alot of people want R2TW but there could be medieval 3, shogun 2 or maybe even a completely new title, what do you think?

Well, given that i came into TW during Rome, i sort of feel(no offense for Shogun or the Original MTW), there should be gaps filled for Europe...we have the rise of Rome, the fall of Rome, Medieval era, and now Early Modern...

the gaps that thus need filling are...

The Dark Ages... (from 476 to 1080...between RT W:BI and M2TW...) though i don't know about the name... Dark Age: Total War? and then the expansion... Franks were big in that period, though i doubt they would get as high sales with "Franks: Total War"...most people would probably have little idea who the Franks were(In my experience where i live it is more commonly referred to as "Charlemagne's Empire" much as the "Macedonian Empire" is called Alexander's)

and further, we then need to fill 1530 to 1700...Ottomans? Spain? Renaissance?

other areas to touch would be prior to Rome, Hellenistic or Perisa, or even Assyria?

many of these i am sure are mod ideas already created elsewhere...but they also need to be made into total war games, yet, they need names that give an image of warfare and conflict, Rome is legionaries, Medieval has Knights, Empire in general generates an image of warfare, after all, how many where made without it?

Thanks, but there are more possibilities then the ones in that thread, i am not asking people to vote which one they want out of a list, but to come up with some new names!

I'd like an "Ancient: Total War" or Rome 2. First, though, they should fix and improve Empire.

Maybe its beyond fixable, so they will give us all coupons/refund/free copy of their next game. Wouldn't we all my happy with that?

nice answers. But have any of you considered one based around one nation, kind of like how you could only be the romans in rome total until you unlocked others.
