Changing French flag help please

I want to start grand campagn with France and I want to use the republic flag instead of the other. I have managed to make all changes work accept i cant get the republic flag to show on campaign map. When I fight battles I have the republic flag but not on campagn map. Can someone tell me how to make it appear? Im missing something.

You have to edit startpos.esf.

Get the esf editor, then edit campaign_env\campaign_map\world\faction_array\faction_array (France should be the second one)\faction\faction_flag_and_colors.

The first one is monarchy, the second one is the republic. Simply copy the flag URL from the republic over to the first one.

You can also change the colors of text popups and campaign map figures here too, if you didn't want them to be white.

And as always, make a backup of the .esf before you edit it.
