Zeitgeist? What do you think about Jesus' and his life. Most scholars and historians agree that Jesus was a real person, even if they don't believe in his religious views. There are though some who believe Jesus never existed.

Of course he existed.
Under the stern but loving patronage of Nihil.
Yes he does.

Yes there are historical sources proving his existence.. on a related note the Easter Bunny is an avatar of Satan trying to take over Jesus's happy resurrection day..
There's the same amount of evidence for Jesus as Homer (simpson)![]()
It's debatable, but I'll go with probably, yes.
"I am awaiting the Mothership to save me from December 21, 2012"
I'm not sure why it's there but I just had to vote for it.
Although if I was in a more serious mood I may have voted "yes".
Yes but only as a normal if inspirational human.
Of course he did.
It's not 100% certain he did. There's a complete lack of any other historical records about him.
Ofcourse he didnt exist.
And there are NO historical evidence of this.
Dont you think any of the known historians would have made a little note about some dude that turned water into wine etc?
Plus, Joshua was a common name.
My point was that of all the authors that mentioned him, the bible was the only one that claimed miracles. He's a definite historical figure, just not the whole divinity thing.
And some historians count (parts of) the Bible as historical evidence, not every single piece of writing in it is myth and legend.

I was merely having some fun with you. But, if you insist, I am not hurt by not experiencing your revelations or visions. I'm actually quite content without them. I was not really disparaging anything and I do not think I'm wise. How wise can an American teenager be? Not much. If God has a problem with how far away I am from him, then he can take it up with me anytime; I'd be more than willing to have a nice chat with him. Maybe he's just shy.
Frankly, I don't need your experiences or things like Jesus or God. If he's there, good for him. He doesn't need my faith if he's all powerful, he's just badass. I don't worry myself about supernatural things and if they exist then woohoo, isn't that neat. Why should I believe in something that I can't prove if not simply to make myself feel better in a cold and heartless world? I don't need the consolation.
You know you want a little of Jesus in you.
You called?
I felt the need to share what I thought was funny.![]()
Colin October,
I realise that fun is all that you guys get out of the wonderful workings of God, the reasons I set out. Yes I can see the funny side were it not for it being more abusive of God than me. You almost hinted at an apology then spoiled it all by going into some more silly comments but I guess you're not the first nor shall you be the last.
What baffles me though is that I mention just some of the things that Jesus Christ did for me and still does, you find it funny. Yet, at your school you hear of some guy who can say that your ancestor was once a monkey and that isn't so funny. You believe it. Now that is funny, why? Because your power of wit declares that that just might be true.
It's like Robin Hood didn't exist, but they did base him on someone who did.
