Vista problem

I have Windows Vist home premium and the ETW dosent work.
When i start to install the installer tells me "Windows installer could not be accsesed"
And when i try to install it on my laptop it says "Could not run stem.dll (not sure if i got thet right)"
Tryed to run it from my comp and then it says "Not enough memory to run steam"

Can u tell em how? i dont really remember.( i know i sound a little noobis)

and on the other side the vista has the prob with installer and my laptop(has XP) is having trouble with memory. my laptop dosent have internet

You can try and get the information by running dxdiag.

Main screen - (processor and memory);

Display tab (Chip Type, Approx Total Memory and Current Display Mode);

Right click "Computer", click on "Windows Expereince Index", and then click on "View and print details". Just tell us the stuff that's in gray at the top.
