    Icon10 waterloo on steroids

although i'm a HUGE fan of the 18th century and napoleonic battles... i must admit that i'm a bit skeptical about this latest installment of the total war series.

although the graphics are solid, i have to say that the strategic aspect of the game reminds me of old games like "waterloo" or "napoleon's battles"...

    - in fact, it's almost like the old title - "waterloo" on steroids
    - is it worth the $50 price tag at this point?
    - not sure...

one thing i have to say is - the naval warfare aspect of this is nice - albeit expected.

anyhow - let me know if i'm the only one who thinks this is "waterloo" on steroids.

    cheers

ps - i'm a comic book creator and i made a neat little comic based in the Napoleonic era.

In its current state, it isn't anywhere NEAR the 50$ worth. Buy it in 6 months or so, when the game is properly patched up and its worth the 30$ you will be spending.

Dito, The game has potential to be a 9/10 or a 10/10 title but right now it's more around 6/10 due to bugs (guilty pleasure kinda game). Nice comic btw.

Hmmm, these kind of statements always puzzle me.

Are you sure you're playing "Empire Total War"?

I'll have to check that over . Anyways, once you get pass the bugs and glitchs, the game becomes actually fun. It just takes a few days.....or weeks

is $50 going to be worth more or less in the future?

Are you kidding? Waterloo on steroids. Maybe if you're inferring what happens when you over do it on 'roids and your nads are gone, lol!

I still hold out hope that the great potential that is under the surface rises from the dead and does live up to its expectations.

cost $96 in Australia! I bought it the first day it came out, well actually the day before the actual release date 'cause the shop said they were allowed to sell it early. Special forces addition cost 110 i think. SOunds like i got it for the most money, thats weird.

Yeah, I bought SF for $110. Waste of money, but I started playing it again this weekend, I'm only having bugs with my trade fleets.

If anyone wants to know what generally happens or your reaction to playing E:TW, look at Godless Pickle's avatar just a few posts up.
