    Default Explosive shells for ships?

    Is it possible to change the ammunition a ship uses other than the three types available?

    I mean round sohts good and so are the others but for ships like the steamship which apparently have 72 heavy guns half of which are not on the ship it seems I think it would be handy for them to possess such a weapon it would mean there's a purpose to building a steamship on campaign again.

    You could change the grapeshot to fire explosive shells...I've done it. But I don't think that you can actually add new buttons. But I really know nothing about the UI.
    Why do people post their computer specs in their signatures? Is your insecurity enough to warrant posting your specs in an effort to abate said insecurity? Really? No one cares.

    Where do you change the type of ammo used? Replacing round shot with percussive shells could be interesting.

    Tinker around a bit with the pack file.

    Gave the British steamship the 42 pounders and changed the 42 pounders to have percussion shells instead of round shot. They own stuff very easily, they has a purpose again.

    I tried them out against a fleet consisting of a Heavy 1st, a 1st, A 2nd and a 3rd rate it sunk all 4 of them before they ever landed a shot.
