Default Imperial cohorts what the hell?

    Okay,
I decided to play again a bit, still in 6.4 campaign, year is 169 BC. Think someplace 180 BC I got my republicans, cheers, they get pwnd but heck, look cool.
Then I decided to build Urban Barracks in Capua. Sheesh, I can train Imperial cohorts and their Eagle. Is this a joke? I mean, wtf?!

That's because you built the imperial barracks in that city... if you don't want to play imperial units delay their construction until you feel it's time for imperials I normally build every single building in all named cities and only then I build my imperials This gives enought time to play with republicans for a while...

I do the same as jegui. I really try to wait for as long as possible before using the imperials.

Huh, I thought I have to destroy the Senate to have Imperial troops? I mean, I thought that I will still have the old guys, lucky me I did not train the legion there. So simply do not build urban barracks in the legion cities? I can do that. I was just sooo much happy for one of my battle hardened 1st cohorts is nearly gold chevron and it scared me to retrain the whole legion again!

Thing two - I am currently rolling over Macedonians finally Just wondering - is it wrong to leave some of their buildings intact for the time being? Like the barracks, or ludus magna structures or ports, forums? Its so cool to have developed city that has some culture

I have a confession to make here though... Sometimes if public order is low, and/or I need to use my legion for other purposes quick, I might keep the barracks for 1 turn, just enough to recruit a standing garrison of town watchs for that town.

I have this problem only in the greek cities. In other areas, I am okay with demolishing everything cause I dont like barbarian structures. But you know, Greek rax + ludus magna and here you go, experience 4 town watch
