Any advantages to....
Using the Sepoy and the Native African Infantry over regular line infantry?

In their home territories, yes. Right clicking on the uit portrait will tell you much more about the units. Native Africans are more resilient to heat, but then, the only real enemy close at hand are the Barbary States and you can beat them with armed citizenry! LOL I only usually recruit them as Garrison troops along with a few Dragoons or to use against the Ottamans if I ammoving into Egypt.
Just as a side note, the British trained and used Sepoy to control India while they plundered it. Even after treating the natives like crap, it wasnt until the British upgraded their rifles with new cartriges containing pig fat that the Sepoy army rebelled as it was against their religion to eat pork.
