    Default Immortal God Emperor Script

    All right. I'm trying to make my byzantine campaign more interesting by creating an immortal faction leader (not dying of age but still able to die in battle) with some cool superhuman abbilities. The most difficulty part is making him immortal while still leaving everyone else mortal. I can make everyone in the game virtually immortal by editing descr_campaign_db but how to make only him live for thousand years? Maybe a script in campaign_script making everyone except byzantine faction leader just die randomly after 50 with the chance of death increasing with each year to 100% at 80? What do you think? Making such a script is beyond me and I don't even know is it possible so I would really appreciate any help.

    Well I'd see if you can actually make him immortal first. The discussion has come up multiple times about extending the age length and time of death, but the results I've seen have been inconclusive. Unless an 80 yr. old faction leader is still there after 100 turns then the immortality bid isn't working.

    If you can do that, there's a kingdoms scripting command that can fire based on age, but it won't be able to kill the character. There's no way to kill a character through script unless you know its name, so it would only work in limited capacity.

    RTW:Alexander had an Immortal trait. I don't know wether that's still part of the hardcode, but copying the respective lines from ALX might be worth a try.

    In other words, they don't do anything. It's a hardcode mechanism that likely makes Alexander's death end the game among other things.

    Yes, that's the one. What we found out was that when you run EB (but must apply to any other RTW-mod too) with ALX.exe all your family members will be immortal, as long as you haven't implemented this trait to EDCT. So, this seems to be a very wired mechanism, because it fires all the time when being not implemented.

    It is obvious that it is not that way in M2TW, but may be the base function is still there and can be reactivated by implementing this trait and giving it to a character. You should give it a try, because that would be the only way to get it working at all.

    I doubt M2 would have Alexander code, because it was started on the Rome engine long before Alexander was released. Not that it isn't necessarily worth the 2 minutes it would take to try it for the hell of it.

    Ah, that I didn't know. I thought M2TW would have been based on the latest RTW engine (ALX).

    I dont care what engine you run that on, it will not make anyone immortal. There is no command for that. They had to mess with the seasons to get that to work and it would affect all characters in the game.

    I know. I had fixed it for EB long time ago. The trick is that you simply have to add the trait Immortal to the mod's EDCT.
