Portugal is the only "minor nation" I put on here, for obvious reasons.

The US does not count as a major nation because it is not playable in the GC, therefore it is not on the list.

In my games Poland and Crimean khanate tend to get slaughtered every game..

Denmark has been butchered by the Swedish quite reliably in all of my games (except for Iceland, of course).
And yes, the Crimean Khanate usually falls to Russia on turn 3 or 4 or thereabouts.

I mostly play as the ottomans, and even if they are my protectorate and faith brothers, i have to say that the Crimean Khanate sucks the most as they get eaten up by Russia in the first three turns. Then Russia acts like nothing happened and makes peace with me, as they have what they want, access to the black sea

But the Barbaresque pirates do not much better, they are at war with EVERYONE. holy crap, how can you have that much self-esteem?

Probably Russia, their 35 accuracy line infantry make me lol every time.

Your nation must suck if you can't train your troops to shoot better than a bunch of militia/mob units.

I'd say Crimean Khanate too, they're the "Ayid" lamb of ETW The Barbaresque are here as pirates, or rather privateers at the service of the Sublime Porte so they don't follow the same rules as independent minors.

As for the majors, AI Sweden doesn't do very well, and curiously, due to bad starting positioning and few adjustments, AI Prussia. I thought Poland was weak but in my french campaign they almost swallowed all eastern part of the Austrian Empire and kicked Prussians. Surprising.

In my last Ottoman Empire Campaign Crimea Khanate actually took Ukraine and kept it for almost half the campaign, though they had my support as I decided to push the Russian front early on. They fell after I was at peace with the Russians (no help), and when Courland declared war on them. Crimea Khanate fell sometime in the mid-1730's.

Yeah, I'd have to go with the Crimeans. Then go Poland, and after the Denmark for me. One time, I think Wurtemburg, Vienna, and Saxony were all destroyed within like 10 moves (which is very little for our unbelievably slow and unagressive AI) by Austria.

Crimean Khanate, die way too quickly

With repect to the Crimean Khanate, if you're playing the Ottomans, it's a good idea to support them in the first few turns. If you send your army in Moldavia by ship to the Crimea, you can assist them in destroying the initial Russian army, which will give the Khanate enough time to bulk up sufficiently to hold the Russians at bay for the rest of the game - most of the time, at least. Then, of course, it's back on the boats and over to Armenia in time to beat back the Georgians, Persians and Dagestanis.

In one Ottoman game of mine, the Khanate not only survived past the first crucial years, but went out and took Kiev. This did a pretty good job of emasculating the Russians and securing my northern borders.

Same here! Sent a small stack protected them for say 5 turns and they started making armies and took Kiev and kept my borders safe i kept gifting them every tech and a bit of money after that. They ended up just holding off Russia by themselves it was fun to watch.

Mughals really suck. they have good units, especially the insanely powerful Islamic swordsmen and they just get hammered by Marathas most of the time. Poland usually gets wiped out as well.
