How do i migrate a saved game from one PC to another?

Hi all, new player here to the Total War series, so forgive my ignorance.

I've searched these forums using several sets of keywords but to no avail.. but I'll be amazed if this has not been asked before, but i simply can't find it.. so apologies before i even start.

"How do i migrate a saved game from one PC to another?"

When I'm away for work etc, I'd like to be able to play the same campaign on my Laptop as i do on my Desktop.

I have Empire working fine on my laptop, (low settings) and on my Desktop (all high settings), but I'm unsure where the saved game files are located. (Steam purchased version).

Any help much appreciated, thanks.

EDIT: I found a saved game folder... C:\Users\myname\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Empire\save_games

Are these all i need to use a campaign on my 2nd PC?

P.S Both PCs are on Vista.

If it can't be done, i don't want to mess up the campaign i do have running on my laptop. Is it possible to have more than one active campaign at a time?

Yep, you've got it. Just copy the save game files to the same folder on your second machine and you're good to go. I do this myself too

And yes, you can have more than one campaign on the go at the same time.

There must be a 'load saved game' option then... i've only ever used the Contiune Campaign... doh! All makes sense now.

Indeed there is, but you can also load another campaign from the campaign options screen, just click Load.

You may not see a saved game folder on the other machine until you save a campaign game on it....

It's best to not 'continue the campaign' as it uses the autosave save game. In previous TW games this is known to have caused problems (it can be disabled in RTW and I think M2TW but not ETW). Always manually save games.
