We're being offered a slot on POTW (picture of the week) to showcase RS2 a bit. Some unedited screenshots, and a bit of blurb that will go on the front page link.
Any ideas as to shots?
What is POTW ?
Plus should we use the new beta screens?

I'd suggest UESW (Unedited Picture of the Week) rather than POTW (Picture of the Week) if you want to show off the game. POTW generally involves a lot of editing/enhancing. Surely, you don't want to do that to a RS screenie?
The big problem is how much of RS2.0 do you want to give away?
I think there was talk of some sort of 'preview' slot being avalable in that part of the forum. I know there was a RTR one several months ago.
This is the link to that part of the forum: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=1039

The preview slot is what I'm talking about. Here are the PMs I received.
If you're still interested in the Mod Spotlight, I'll be more than happy to give you more promotion for RS 2.0. Let me know and I'll let you know what I would need. I want to the mod spotlight to become an active part in the PoTW forum for mod promotion.
Cheers,
B. WardI guess the question is how much to reveal. I don't want to show the different types of grass in one climate at this stage, but we could I guess show some new stuff. How about one or two shots like some desert, the snowy trees I've just shown recently and one or two other things?Great! All I need is some basic information about RS 2.0. Just so people will know what the mod is about. And at least 10 in game battle screen shots. I will include a link to your subforum and get it featured on the front page so more people will click the link.

How about these two to post on the RS2 previews thread initially in response to the question about battlefields and then to include in the POTW pictures with some others? We'll need about 10 altogether.

That'll do...of course, they might ask why you're giving them photographs to post.![]()

Yeah!

Shots with units in them are far more effective than scenery alone. If this is a stand-alone preview, just showing empty terrain would be a missed opportunity. For example if you want to show off grass, you show something like so:

I think we need a brave soul to go capture some exciting new screenshots with the new environments, with great looking units (but no Romans -- Dacians maybe? Gallaeci?)
Yes please!
I'm currently stuck with my old system as my GTX280s in SLI system has had to go back to the seller with instability caused by overheating CPU (it's been happening for a while).
Anyway, my 'backup' system only has a 9800GX2 card..... It does run Windows XP 32 bit with 4Gb of memory.

I agree with pseudocaesar on this. That picture has always been the most sunning one for me - it's just so realistic.
