Should we be able to liberate "destroyed" factions from their conquerors?
I bring this up, b/c, in case you haven't noticed, I get very irritated when I see major powers defeated. I think it would be cool if we could start wars of liberation. Once we take the country, we can simply turn it back over to its default owner, even if they have been "destroyed". You can do this now, but you have to get them to revolt against you after you have seized their territory back for them, and then they are at war with you and extremely PO'd. I would rather liberate countries and turn them into buffer states if I like.
Additional Notes: (Using IS) While playing as the Italian States today I conquered all of Italy. My last conquest was Venice. right after I conquered it, I made peace with Venice and had to move my troops back to Genoa to put down a rebellion. Well, Austria declares war on me, and took Venice. No Biggie, I'll just beat Austria over the head. I crush the Genoese rebellion, and move back east to find that......Austria had given Venice BACK to Venice!!!
That's what sparked the idea in my mind...Maybe this AI has a few more tricks up its sleeve than we thought it did...It would be nice to know if they were that smart, this is the first game I've played with Prussia steamrolling Poland and Russia, and not the other way around.
